Forward from memory – 9/11

Much will be said today and has already been said over the course of the preceding days regarding the events of 9/11/2001.  Many of us have said a great deal over the past 15 years and so I will not launch into a lengthy diatribe.  I will, however, take a moment to comment for my own sake and perhaps for your edification on the momentous event that this day should be each year.

We can never permit ourselves to forget not only the event but the apathy and ignorance that led to that horrible tragedy.  We must find in our hearts as our parents and grandparents found the fortitude and passion to embrace the challenge of our time.  We must somehow find the strength to stand against the naysayers in our society as well as the apologists around the world.  We must stand against our enemies wherever they are.  Somehow we must stem the Islamist tide, batter down the wall of political correctness, reestablish the base of morality in our nation and take back the future for our children.  There will be more to come but let me say this for today.

We will never forget the events of 9/11/2001!

We will never surrender our liberty without a struggle!

We will fight to preserve our heritage!

To quote Mr. Winston Churchill…

Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense.”

Let us regain the greatness of our republic and strive for the approval of our forefathers.  Let it be said of us by our progeny that they knew how to cherish life, they knew how to face adversity and they never shrank from the responsibility entrusted to them.  Let us be worthy of our children’s praise.

God Bless you all!
